Remembering 9-11

by Jaime Greene on September 11, 2011

We are united in courage and suffering today as we remember the horrific act of war on our country 10 years ago.  We commemorate the heroes who suffered and those who are still suffering.  We must never forget is a term often used when speaking of 9-11; but do we remember?  Do we remember those emotions that stirred inside us?  The pride in our country united together to preserve the values we hold so dear.  Justice, domestic tranquility, united defense, liberty…I am reminded of something Ronald Reagan said, “You and I have a rendezvous with destiny.  We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness.  If we fail, at least our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here.  We did all that could be done.”  Are we doing all that can be done?  What are you doing?
